Deposit. A 25% deposit is required before work begins.
Remaining balance. The remaining 75% is paid according to the payment terms agreed to in writing between Studio Jo Web Design and the client for each individual project. That written agreement will specify the payment schedule, the amounts or percentages due, and the due dates or project milestones. The project-specific written agreement governs the payment schedule for that project.
Additional services, scope changes, and expenses. Any additional services, scope changes, or expenses will be communicated to the client and approved in writing before the additional work is performed or the expense is incurred, where applicable.
Other payment terms include:
- Payment due on invoice date or as specified in the contract
- Recurring billing for subscription-based plans
- Non-refundable setup fees where applicable
- Suspension of Services for failed or overdue payments
All pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.

- Authorize Studio Jo Web Design to charge your card for Services
- Authorize recurring charges when applicable
- Agree that charges will continue until you cancel in writing
Studio Jo Web Design does not store full credit card details; processing is handled by third-party payment processors.
6. Service Timeline & Delivery
Timelines are estimates and depend on:
- The client's responsiveness
- The complexity of the project
- The number of revisions requested
- Availability of required materials
Studio Jo Web Design is not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control.
7. Revisions & Scope Creep
Website Design Rounds
Each website design package includes one initial design concept and a defined number of website design revision rounds. À la carte website design includes two rounds.
- Starter: one initial design concept and two revision rounds
- Standard: one initial design concept and two revision rounds
- Premium: one initial design concept and three revision rounds
- À la carte website design: one initial design concept and two revision rounds
A design concept represents one overall visual direction for the website, not a separate concept for every page.
Revision Round
A revision round is one consolidated set of changes for a specific deliverable, submitted together in writing. Multiple related changes in one request count as one round. Revisions must stay within the agreed scope and deliverables. A round is not a new design concept, a redesign, a new page, a new feature, or a change in project direction, and revisions are never unlimited. The client is responsible for gathering feedback from all relevant decision-makers into one organized submission. Studio Jo will implement the requested changes that fall within the agreed scope and present the result for review. Separate emails, messages, or individual change requests relating to the same feedback cycle do not automatically constitute separate rounds.
Individual Edits
An individual edit is a specific requested adjustment to an existing deliverable within the agreed direction and scope, such as adjusting typography, colors, spacing, text, imagery, or the placement of existing elements. Many individual edits may be included in one round when submitted together. Edits are not unlimited and must remain reasonable and consistent with the agreed scope.
Service-Specific Allowances
Every service has its own allowance, which applies to that service's deliverable only. Depending on the service, the allowance is a set of revision rounds, a round of adjustments after implementation, a round of corrections, or a follow-up session.
- Custom Website Design & Development: 2 rounds of revisions per website project
- Additional Website Page: Covered by the website project’s existing design allowance (no additional rounds per page)
- Logo Design: 2 rounds of revisions
- Mini Branding Package: 2 rounds of revisions
- Blog Setup: 1 round of adjustments after initial implementation
- Booking Calendar Integration: 1 round of adjustments after initial implementation
- Newsletter Signup: 1 round of adjustments after initial implementation
- Basic Email Marketing Integration: 1 round of adjustments after initial implementation
- E-commerce Store Setup: 1 round of adjustments after implementation
- Customer Account Portal: 2 rounds of revisions within the approved project scope
- Basic Admin Portal: 2 rounds of revisions within the approved project scope
- Advanced Custom Admin Portal: 2 rounds of revisions within the approved project scope
- Mobile & Tablet Optimization: 1 round of adjustments after initial implementation
- Contact / Inquiry Form: 1 round of adjustments after initial implementation
- Basic On-Page SEO: 1 round of corrections to the agreed deliverables
- Comprehensive SEO: 1 round of corrections to the agreed deliverables
- Google Analytics 4 Setup: 1 round of corrections if the setup is incomplete or incorrect
- Google Search Console Setup: 1 round of corrections if the setup is incomplete or incorrect
- Website Handoff & Guidance: 1 follow-up clarification session
- Out-of-Scope Development: No automatic revision allowance
Adjustments are small configuration or layout changes to work already implemented. Corrections fix work that does not match what was agreed. Neither includes new features, new concepts, or expanded scope.
Services Included in Packages
Each service included in a package keeps its own revision, adjustment, or correction allowance, shown on its à la carte listing. Website design uses the package’s stated design rounds. Allowances apply once to the single deliverable. They are not multiplied by the number of pages, not added together across tiers, and additional website pages do not add rounds. For example, a Premium project receives three website design rounds, while its logo, branding, portal, SEO, analytics, booking, blog, newsletter, email marketing, and e-commerce services each keep the allowance listed above. Additional website pages are covered by the website project's existing design allowance and do not add rounds.
How to Submit Feedback
Clients should submit consolidated feedback in writing. A round covers reasonable refinements within the agreed scope. It does not include a new concept or unlimited redesigns. There is no fixed cap on the number of individual edits within a round, but requests must remain reasonable, within scope, and consistent with the agreed direction.
New Design Direction or Substantial Redesign
A request to abandon the agreed creative direction, replace the design with a substantially different concept, or substantially rework previously approved designs is not an ordinary revision. Such work may require an additional fee, a revised project scope, and an adjusted timeline. Studio Jo will explain any additional costs and obtain the client's approval before proceeding.
Changes After Approval
Once the client approves a deliverable and development begins, changes to previously approved elements may require a separate estimate and may affect the project timeline. Corrections needed because the delivered work does not match the approved design or agreed specifications are not treated as chargeable client revisions.
Additional Rounds and Out-of-Scope Work
Additional rounds beyond a service's allowance, and requests outside the agreed project scope (such as new pages, new features, new integrations, or a new design direction), may incur additional charges. These may require a new or revised contract or deadline extensions, and will be discussed with and approved by the client in writing before the extra work begins. Studio Jo Web Design reserves the right to determine what qualifies as out-of-scope.
Hourly Rate
Studio Jo's standard hourly rate is $50 per hour. It applies to ongoing hourly support (small website updates, fixes, troubleshooting, and content changes on an existing finished website, with no monthly commitment) and to Out-of-Scope Development (new development, custom features, integrations, or additional functionality beyond the agreed scope of a project). Out-of-Scope Development is quoted and approved in writing before work begins. Monthly maintenance plans are separate fixed-price monthly offerings and are not billed hourly.
These revision terms apply to projects agreed to on or after the Last Updated date above. They do not change the terms of any agreement already signed.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless stated otherwise in a signed contract:
- The client receives rights to the final website design once full payment is made
- Studio Jo Web Design retains rights to all underlying design structures, code snippets, templates, or processes used to build the site
