What I Accomplished
I redesigned the studio's website from a basic Wix site into a polished, modern presence. I clarified the services and teaching structure so visitors can easily understand what's offered, created a more intuitive flow to guide inquiries, and established a cohesive visual identity that matches the brand's tone, with room to grow over time.
What Made It Special
This project went beyond aesthetics. It was about translating a lifetime of teaching into a digital experience. The challenge was capturing decades of experience, a deeply personal teaching journey that began in South Korea, and a balance of discipline, artistry, and mentorship. The final result feels less like a typical music lessons website and more like a trusted, elevated personal brand that reflects both expertise and care.
My Role
I led the full website redesign from concept to launch, including UX strategy, visual design, and development, and I created the logo and branding. I focused on translating a deeply personal teaching philosophy into a clean, modern interface that feels both professional and welcoming. I also reworked the site structure to prioritize clarity and guide visitors toward getting in touch.
Strategy
My primary goal was to build trust immediately while simplifying the decision-making process for prospective students. The original site lacked visual hierarchy and emotional connection, so I focused the redesign on a few priorities. I elevated the instructor's credibility and decades of experience, created a calm, structured layout that reflects the discipline of music education, and made key actions, like getting in touch or learning more, simple. I also balanced professionalism with warmth to appeal to both parents and adult learners. I designed every section to answer the questions a visitor is likely asking: Is this teacher experienced? Will I or my child feel comfortable here? How do I get started?
